On Thursday 21 March 2024, Council endorsed changes to the Boco Rock Community Enhancement Fund. This fund is now available to the whole Snowy Monaro local government area (LGA).
The Boco Rock Community Enhancement Fund is a condition of the State Government approved Boco Rock Wind Farm project. The funding operates on an annual timetable and is offered once a year to eligible applicants whose project or event will benefit the Snowy Monaro.
The total amount of funding allocated in the 2024 round was $285,768.27.
Community Membership
This year, membership on the Boco Rock Community Enhancement Fund Committee opened to members from the whole Snowy Monaro LGA. Community members serve a two-year term on this committee. Members are required to attend the two annual meetings and may be invited to attend openings of projects, or events, as a representative of the Boco Rock Enhancement Fund.
The six community representatives for the Boco Rock Community Enhancement Fund were selected during the Boco Rock Sub-Committee meeting on May 14, 2024.

Enhancement Funding
On 6 August 2024 funds were awarded to the successful applicants.

You must allow 10 working days for Council staff to respond to your request.
Renovating a Council asset
If the project is to renovate or make physical changes to a Council asset (including Crown land managed by Council) you must obtain Council’s consent as the owners of the land. A copy of the written response from the relevant Council officer and a completed Facilities Implication Form(PDF, 1MB) must be attached.
Holding an event
If the application is to hold an event, you are required to attach a copy of the Notice of Intention to Organise an Event(PDF, 82KB) form submitted to Council.

How to submit your application
- Ensure your contact details are correct
- Ensure all sections/fields (relevant to your request) are complete
- Include all supporting documents
- Complete section 7 and sign the form
- If you are emailing your application to Council, please ensure the subject of your e-mail states 'Boco Rock Community Enhancement Fund'*
- Submit completed form, and all supporting documents, to Council:
- Hand in your application to one of our friendly Customer Service Officers at a Council office.
*If you do not include a reference to Boco Rock community enhancement fund in your email subject, or you attach your application as part of another email trail, your application may be missed. If council misses your application, because it was unidentifiable, it will not be considered for funding in this year’s program.

Applications submitted after the closing date, Friday 7 June 2024 will not be considered.
