Community Connect
The Snowy Monaro region is home to a diverse and welcoming community. There are many different ways to connect with the community and know what's happening across the region. Council's Community Development staff are on hand to support group, projects, initiatives and activities to build strong communities that are great places to live and visit.
Please contact one of our region's Visitors Centres for a wealth of knowledge for locals and visitors alike.
Many of the townships and villages in the region are supported by a local resident association such as a Progress Association or Action group. These community based groups focus on building better and stronger communities from a grass roots level. They often communicate their suggestions to appropriate government departments, including Council and other relevant departments. Contact information for these local groups can be found on the Community Directory page.
