Council may hold a public forum for the purpose of allowing members of the public to address Council on items of business to be considered at a meeting.
SPEAKING AT PUBLIC FORUM
Members of the public wishing to address Council at a public forum must make an application to the Council. Per Council's Code of Meeting Practice, each speaker is allocated 5 minutes and restricted to speak on one item of business. Each speaker is allocated 5 minutes to address Council.
Please complete the application form(PDF, 420KB) and email to council@snowymonaro.nsw.gov.au to be included on the agenda.
Applications must be submitted no later than 2 full business days before the date on which the Council meeting is to be held. For example, the deadline for submissions is midnight the Monday before a Thursday Council meeting (due dates listed below).
- 14 November 2024 - Ordinary Council Meeting - Due 11 November 2024
- 12 December 2024 - Ordinary Council Meeting - Due 9 December 2024
Applications that are not submitted via the approved form will not be accepted.
RECORDS OF PUBLIC FORUM
A separate record will be kept of the public forum, following the meeting, this will be published on the website and will contain basic information of the speaker's submission.
Members of the public wishing to address Council should note public forum is webcast and recordings of the meeting are available on the website. By entering the Council Chambers (or other meeting location) during an open session of Council, you are consenting to your attendance and participation being recorded.

PRIVACY NOTIFICATION
The personal information requested on this form is being collected, and will only be used for identifying members of the public who address a Council Meeting and the acceptance of the conditions to address Council. If you do not disclose your name, contact details and topic, you will not be permitted to address Council. Access to the information will be restricted to Councillors and Council staff for the purposes of the information listed above and spoken to at Council.
