Our new fortnightly eNewsletter delivers the most up-to-date news on Council’s key decisions, projects, initiatives and events.
Our focus for this year's National Recycling Week is textile recycling and reduction to landfill. Did you know that on average Australians discard 23kg of textiles into landfill each year?
Our Repair Cafe aims to give you the skills to repair your clothes to prolong their life, reduce what you need to purchase and keep clothing out of landfills. During the one-hour session, you can learn:
· Hemming
· Sewing on patches
· Repair a hole in a wool jumper
· Replacing a button / adding an extra buttonhole
· Take in large clothing
Afternoon tea will be provided.
