Adoption of Flood Planning Development Control Plan and Michelago Deve

In accordance with s14 of the Environmental Planning Assessment Regulation 2021, notice is hereby given that Snowy Monaro Regional Council endorsed the following amendments to the Bombala Development Control Plan (DCP) 2012, Cooma-Monaro DCP 2014, Snowy River DCP 2013 at its meeting on 17 March 2022:

• Amend the Bombala DCP by repealing and replacing clause 2.5.2 ‘Flooding’ with the ‘flood planning’ controls.
• Insert Bombala flood maps as appendix A in the Bombala DCP
• Amend the Cooma-Monaro DCP by repealing and replacing clause 6.4 with the ‘flood planning’ controls.
• Repeal and replace appendix 10 of the Cooma-Monaro DCP with flood mapping for Cooma, Bredbo and Michelago.
• Site Specific DCP Michelago will repeal and replace section 6.8 of the Cooma-Monaro DCP 2014
• Amend the Snowy River DCP by repealing and replacing part C7, clause 2 ‘Flood Prone Land’ with the ‘flood planning’ controls.
• Insert flood mapping for Berridale and Jindabyne as appendix A of the Snowy River DCP.

The amendments to the Bombala, Cooma-Monaro and Snowy River DCPs will come into effect on 7 April 2022.
