Announcing recipients of the 2023 Boco Rock Community Enhancement Fund
Published on 08 September 2023
On behalf of the Committee, Council is delighted to today announce the recipients of the 2023 Boco Rock Community Enhancement Fund – injecting $241,710.08 of vital funding into community-minded projects and organisations in the former Cooma-Monaro and Bombala shires.
The Boco Rock Community Enhancement Fund Committee met on Tuesday 5 September 2023 to consider 36 funding requests – 30 from the former Cooma-Monaro local government area (LGA), and six from the former Bombala LGA.
Applications opened on Monday 5 June 2023 and closed Monday 10 July 2023, with applicants seeking funding from $1,800 to $60,000 for a wide array of community projects, groups, and services.
Committee members considered and assessed each application independently, before meeting this past Tuesday to make their final decision as a group.
After careful consideration and extensive deliberation, the committee unanimously agreed on the distribution of the 2023 Boco Rock Community Enhancement Fund, with all available funding distributed.
Projects in the former Bombala LGA received $109,365, with projects in the former Cooma-Monaro LGA receiving $132,345.08.
The Boco Rock Community Enhancement Fund Committee and Snowy Monaro Regional Council would like to extend our congratulations to the successful applicants.
