Council calling on volunteers to get behind the wheel for a good cause

Volunteer drivers are urgently needed across the Snowy Monaro to ensure local community transport and meals on wheels services can continue providing essential services to older people and people with disability in our community.

Our community has shown time and again in times of crisis – whether bushfire, flood, or pandemic – that we are there to lend a helping hand when one of our own is in need.

Whether you can volunteer two hours a month or twenty, by generously donating your time as a volunteer driver you’ll be helping other Snowy Monaro locals who really need your help.

Council’s community service centres in Berridale, Bombala and Cooma need drivers to help us transport community members to appointments in the local region, Canberra and Bega, and deliver nutritious fresh and frozen meals to residents.

Our community services team are ready and waiting to help you hit the road for a good cause, with all the information you need to decide if volunteering is right for you.
