Council facilities and services over the Australia Day long weekend

The community is advised that a number of Council’s services and facilities will be closed over the Australia Day long weekend.

Kerbside bin collections will go ahead as normal.

Closed on Sunday 26 January 2025:

  • Public pools in Adaminaby, Berridale, and Jindabyne
  • Nimmitabel Transfer Station

Closed on Monday 27 January 2025:

  • Council offices in Berridale, Bombala, Cooma, and Jindabyne
  • Library branches in Bombala, Cooma, and Jindabyne, and the Village Library Outreach Service
  • Landfills and ScrapMarts in Bombala, Cooma, and Jindabyne
  • Numeralla Transfer Station
  • Werri-Nina Centre and Bombala Community Services Office

Bombala Pool and Cooma Pool will be open every day over the long weekend. The region's other public swimming pools closed Sunday 26 January 2025, but open on the public holiday on Monday 27 January 2025.

Public pool opening hours on Monday 27 January 2025:

  • Adaminaby – 1pm to 6pm
  • Berridale – 11am to 7pm
  • Bombala ­– 11.30am to 7pm
  • Cooma – 10am to 6pm
  • Jindabyne – 6am to 6.30pm
