Snowy Monaro Regional Council congratulates and welcomes our new Councillor, Luke Williamson.
The NSW Electoral Commission completed a countback of ballot papers this afternoon, reallocating the retiring Councillor’s preferences between the eight eligible candidates.
Following the procedure, Luke Williamson was confirmed as the elected candidate and our new Councillor.
Councillors and Council’s executive team will convene together on Monday 29 August 2022 for an induction session and swearing in ceremony.
The countback election was triggered due to the casual vacancy arising following the resignation of Councillor John Last earlier this year.
