Deep Creek Bridge, Mila closing for replacement work

Council will be closing Deep Creek Bridge on Mila Road for replacement from Sunday 1 May 2022. The demolition and replacement work requires the closure of Mila Road at the bridge, with a detour in place for the duration of the project.

A bypass around the closure will be in effect via Craigie Road, Delegate Road, Little Plains Road, and back to Mila Road. A map highlighting the detour route is included with this notice.

The closure is estimated to be for a three month period, weather permitting. A revised and more detailed timeline for the project will be made available once the contractor is on-site and work underway.

Due to increased traffic along the detour route, Council will monitor the road conditions and provide additional maintenance when and where necessary.
