Construction workers building a retaining wall around a newly-installed under-road culvert.

Work has commenced on the roadworks to upgrade the Slacks Creek culvert under Dry Plains Road. Weather permitting, this project is expected to be complete by Friday 28 June 2024.

Approved hours for these upgrade works are between 6am and 6pm, Monday to Sunday. Traffic will be permitted through the site under the direction of our contractor’s traffic control personnel.

Any road surface or driveway that needs to be excavated to facilitate this culvert upgrade will be repaired or replaced as part of the project.

Once culvert works are complete, our contractor will proceed with maintenance and repairs on Dry Plains Road, generously funded under round three of the NSW Government’s Fixing Local Roads funding program.

Council will provide further information on this second stage of work on Dry Plains Road as the completion date for this first stage draws nearer.

Residents and motorists are reminded to be mindful of crews and machinery operating on and around the project site. Thank you for your patience and understanding as this essential maintenance project is underway.
