First full meeting of new Council - 17 February 2022 - Bombala

Last Thursday night was the first full meeting of our new Council, with the meeting held in Bombala.

Council thanks those members of the public who made presentations in person and online.

Some key decisions for community interest are:

• Approval of road names for two new roads in a subdivision to the south of Dalgety –
  Riverbend Drive and Quarry Lane to go to the Geographical Names Board to be gazetted
• Unanimous support to close Crown Public Roads Cluster 623454 on condition that appropriate public access through to the East Jindabyne foreshore is provided in any future subdivision development
• Consent given for these Development Applications (DAs):
  • Community Library and Innovation Hub (Jindabyne)
  • Lake Jindabyne Hotel accommodation (new building containing 16 rooms)
  • Outdoor seating area on front paved area in the road reserve, Highdale carpark, Berridale
  • Covered BBQ and seating DA at Lot 6 Ryrie St, Michelago

The appointments of Councillors as delegates to committees were also made for the period to September 2023. Thanks to those councillors who nominated and agreed to be on committees. Their input and representation is important for our community and Council - click here for the full list.

The next meeting of council is from 1pm on Thursday 17 March 2022 at the Jindabyne Memorial Hall.
