Fun-filled winter school holidays in the Snowy Monaro with Council

Snowy Monaro Regional Council is excited to announce a packed schedule of free activities for kids and teens this July school holidays.

Our library and youth teams have put together a great mix of indoor activities perfect for the chilly winter days. There's something for everyone, from creative crafts to active outings.

Activities will run from Monday 8 July to Friday 19 July 2024 across the region in Cooma, Bombala, and Jindabyne.

Libraries across the region are hosting a variety of events for primary school-aged children and younger (with parent or guardian support), including:

  • Movie screenings
  • LEGO building sessions
  • NAIDOC Week craft activities
  • Snowflake-making workshops
  • Wool craft projects

For older kids aged 12 to 17, Council’s youth team has organised:

  • Music and DJ workshops
  • A skateboard art session
  • A rock-climbing day trip to Canberra
  • Pop-up cinema showings
  • Podcasting classes
  • Free movies at Jindabyne Cinema
