Community feedback is being sought on the first collection of names proposed for inclusion in Council's new Road Name Bank. These names will be used for future streets and roads across the region as new subdivisions, developments, and other housing and industrial projects are developed.

The proposed names were collected late last year through a community submissions, with the first set of names now ready for public review at and comment before being formally added to the Road Name Bank. Visit https://qrco.de/roadnames today.

‘Getting a list of pre-approved road names together just makes sense. It'll speed things up for developers, but more importantly, it means our new streets will have names that really mean something to our region and tell our story,’ said Snowy Monaro Regional Council Mayor Chris Hanna.

‘These names are going to be around for a long time, so we want to get them right. That's why we're asking everyone in the community to jump on and have a look at what we're proposing for our first lot of names to be added to the new Road Name Bank. Your feedback is the most important of this whole process.’

Residents can review the first batch of proposed names and provide feedback until 11.59pm on Sunday 2 February 2025 through:

Following the consultation period, approved names will be added to the Road Name Bank for use in future developments.
