Redcliff Bridge across Cambalong Creek on Cambalong Rd, Cambalong (west of Bombala) has been assessed this morning to find significant damage to particular structural members, and therefore the bridge will be closed until further notice.

Engineers are currently inspecting the bridge to determine how it can be reopened as quickly as possible.

At this stage, it is estimated that it will take two weeks for a solution to be designed and implemented, however this timeframe is expected to change as more information comes to light.

The current detour route is along the Monaro Highway through Bombala, as can be seen in the below map.

Council has contacted local bus companies to inform them of the bridge closure prior to school ending this afternoon.

We will keep the community updated and encourage any questions or concerns by email to council@snowymonaro.nsw.gov.au or by phone on 1300 345 345.
