Jindabyne Landfill closed today due to ongoing dangerous winds

Strong winds continue to batter the Snowy Monaro, and unfortunately Council is announcing an additional closure of Jindabyne Landfill today – Friday 6 September 2024 – due to public safety concerns.

We will issue an update when conditions have improved and it’s safe for this facility to reopen.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation during this temporary closure. Your safety at Council waste facilities is our team’s highest priority.
