Landfills in Cooma and Jindabyne closed due to extreme winds

Effective immediately, Council is closing Cooma Landfill and Jindabyne Landfill due to dangerous winds posing an unacceptable risk to staff and public safety.

We will issue an update when conditions have improved and it’s safe for these facilities to reopen.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation during this temporary closure. Your safety at Council waste facilities is our team’s highest priority.
