Mahratta St, Bombala: Partial road closure from Wednesday 2 October

Major upgrades to Bombala’s sewer network are continuing next month, with a section of Mahratta Street temporarily closing to traffic for the construction of a new wastewater pumping station from Wednesday 2 October 2024 until early December.

The contractor will reopen Mahratta Street for the Bombala & District Chamber Market on Saturday 23 November 2024.

After the market, Mahratta Street will remain closed until work is complete in early December 2024, weather permitting.

ROAD CLOSURE DETAILS
  • Location: Mahratta Street, Bombala – Road closure runs from the junction with Forbes Street to the Plunkett Street intersection

  • Start date: Wednesday 2 October 2024

  • Temporary reopening for Bombala Market on Saturday 23 November 2024

  • End date: Early December 2024, weather permitting

  • Reason for closure: Construction of new wastewater (sewer) pumping station
