Polo Flat Road upgrades begin June 2024

A key section of Polo Flat Road is set to undergo significant upgrades next month, thanks to funding from the Australian Government's Roads to Recovery grant program.

Weather permitting, Council’s contractor will be on-site on Polo Flat Road between Saleyard Road to 100m north of Carlaminda Road from mid-June 2024. Current estimates have work lasting for four to six weeks, weather permitting.

Properties affected by this work will receive a letter directly from Council’s contractor ahead of work getting underway, with information on the timeline and changes to traffic conditions.

This work will improve road safety for motorists on Polo Flat Road, and reduce maintenance costs for ratepayers in the long term.

Council appreciates all road users’ patience and understanding while this important upgrade project is underway.
