Potential delay to kerbside bin collections today, Monday 2 September

Published on 02 September 2024

Rubbish and recycling bin sitting on the kerb outside a residential free-standing home.

Due to ongoing high winds across much of the Snowy Monaro, kerbside bin collections may be delayed today, Monday 2 September 2024, in the following collection areas:

  • Bibbenluke, Bombala, Cathcart, and Delegate
  • Adaminaby, Anglers Reach, Jindabyne, Old Adaminaby, and Middlingbank Road
  • Southern part of Cooma

High winds can cause bins to blow over, creating litter and many potential hazards for the community.

Our staff will be working throughout the day to pick up windblown bins and remove as much litter as possible, and this work may result in delays to your scheduled collection.

These delays are necessary to prevent the impact of windblown litter in your neighbourhood and the environment.

The safety of our community and staff is our highest priority, and we appreciate your understanding during this continuing period of high winds.
