Scheduled hydrant flushing across region

Council will be flushing water mains in several areas from today, Monday 6 May 2024. This routine maintenance helps ensure high-quality drinking water for residents. Mains flushing in Cooma commences this week, moving to Nimmitabel and Adaminaby over the following weeks.

What to expect:

  • There will be no interruption to your water supply during the flushing
  • You may notice discoloured water or sediment when the flushing is happening near your property
  • If this occurs, run your taps for a few minutes until the water runs clear

While it is likely that you won’t even notice that this work is occurring, we’re giving you notice in case you see water running down the road, or temporary discolouration of your tap water.
