Temporary changes to Mobile Library operations

Council’s Mobile Library service is still hitting the road, but on a smaller scale (think Corolla not truck), and working to a slightly different schedule to serve our community.

Due to staffing shortages, the Mobile Library truck is currently off the road until we find a new driver. Applications are being accepted through Council’s website now.

Library members can get in touch to request or reserve material ahead of time, by phone, online or by email up to 24 hours before a scheduled visit. This lead time is to ensure the trusty red Corolla is stocked with what our community wants to read. It’s not as big as the truck, but we’re still coming to a town near you. Look out for the Library banner!

Upcoming visits for the red Corolla:

  • Wednesday 2 March 2022 – Berridale Public School 10am to 12pm
  • Monday 7 March 2022 – Michelago Public School 10am to 11am and Bredbo Public School 11.45am to 1pm
  • Tuesday 8 March 2022 – Jindabyne Old Town Centre 10am to 12pm
  • Thursday 10 March – Nimmitabel Public School 10am to 11am and Nimmitabel Police Station 11.15am to 12.25pm

To make a book or resource reservation for the temporary Mobile Library replacement service, please call (02) 6451 1630 or email libraries@snowymonaro.nsw.gov.au a minimum of 24 hours prior to the scheduled town visit above.
