UPDATED: Labour Day public holiday hours at Council

As the community gears up for another long weekend here in the Snowy Monaro, Council reminds residents that opening hours at our services and facilities will be affected by the Labour Day public holiday on Monday 7 October 2024.

UPDATE: An earlier version of this release listed Numeralla Transfer Station as open on Monday 7 October 2024. This facility will be closed on the public holiday.

Resource and waste
·    Bin collections will go ahead as-scheduled
·    All landfills are closed
·    All transfer stations are closed

Libraries
·    All library branches will be closed
·    Mobile library will not be operating

Pools
·    All public pools will be closed

Council offices
·    All offices are closed

Visitor centres
·    Cooma Visitor Centre is open 9am to 3pm
·    Bombala Visitor Centre is closed Mondays

Community services
·    All community services offices are closed

If you’re hitting the road over the upcoming long weekend, please be aware that double demerits are in effect from midnight Friday 4 October and will remain in place until 11.59pm on Monday 7 October 2024.
