Snowy Monaro Regional Library is proud to be participating in National Simultaneous Storytime (NSS) for another year, with local kids and parents invited to join in the fun tomorrow, Wednesday 22 May 2024, at Cooma Library from 10.30am to 11.30am.

Joined by children, families and schoolkids across Australia and New Zealand, local participants will be treated to a reading of Bowerbird Blues by celebrated Australian author and illustrator Aura Parker.

National Simultaneous Storytime is an annual event organised by the Australian Library and Information Association. Developed especially for kids aged six and under, the event aims to promote reading and literacy, the value and fun of books, and shine a spotlight on writers and publishers of Australian children’s literature.

This celebration of reading, learning and literature is growing more popular every year, with 2023 the biggest NSS on record with 2.3 million participants across 59,000 libraries, schools and community events.

To be a part of the big day this year, head to Cooma Library on Wednesday 22 May 2024 and hear the story unfold from 10.30am to 11.30am.

No tickets or RSVPs are required, but if you would like to learn more about our local National Simultaneous Storytime event, please contact the team at Cooma Library on (02) 6451 1630 or email libraries@smrc.nsw.gov.au
