Water main renewal in Giwang St, Cooma

Residents of Giwang Street, Cooma are advised that Council’s water operations team are renewing the water main, services and fittings in Giwang Street in July 2023.

Where: Giwang Street, Cooma

Date: Monday 10 July 2023

Purpose: Snowy Monaro Regional Council asset renewal

Impact on residents: Minor interruption to water (30 minutes) on the day of works. There will be some temporary disruptions to property access while work is underway.

Council aims to ensure the clarity of the water supply returns once work is complete. Some residents may notice turbid or cloudy water, once supply has resumed. As a precaution, Council advises residents to run an outside tap for a few minutes to flush any air or cloudy water from household plumbing.
