Council is calling on the community to have their say on the future of Jindabyne, with consultation on the draft Jindabyne Development Control Plan open for feedback until Wednesday 20 December 2023.

A Development Control Plan – or DCP – is a planning document that provides detailed planning and design guidelines for a particular area. The NSW Government has developed a draft DCP for Jindabyne, which once finalised, will form a core part of the planning process underpinning the Snowy Mountains Special Activation Precinct (SAP).

Council endorsed the exhibition of the draft Jindabyne DCP at the October 2023 Ordinary Council Meeting.

It is important to note that this document is only a draft. The specific purpose of this consultation is to solicit feedback from the community to aid councillors in deciding whether to adopt the current draft, or whether changes need to be made.

Your feedback will make a difference. Have your say today on the future of Jindabyne.

Visit www.yoursaysnowymonaro.com.au/draft-jindabyne-dcp and share your thoughts before Wednesday 20 December 2023.

This public exhibition is being undertaken by the NSW Department of Planning and Environment, with the assistance of Snowy Monaro Regional Council.

The NSW Department of Planning and Environment are holding in-person pop-up and drop-in sessions across November and December 2023. These sessions give locals the opportunity to learn more about the draft DCP, and understand what its adoption would mean for the future development of Jindabyne.
